Our basic service for decks in good condition. We lightly sand the surface to remove dirt and minor unevenness, then apply stain to refresh the look without stripping to bare wood.
For a natural look and deep protection. We sand the deck completely back to bare timber, removing old coatings so the wood can fully absorb the new protective oil finish.
Ideal for heavily weathered or dirty decks. We apply a chemical wash to kill mould and brighten the timber, followed by sanding and your choice of protective oil or stain.
Our intensive service. We punch down all fixings and use heavy equipment to sand off 1mm of the surface, completely restoring the timber before applying a premium finish.

Light Sanding & Staining
This is our most basic deck service option.
This service is suitable for decks where the timber is generally in acceptable condition and does not require deep restoration. The purpose of light sanding is to remove the top layer of the old coating, surface dirt and minor unevenness, and to prepare the deck surface for the application of stain. The deck is lightly sanded to create a cleaner and more even surface. After preparation, the deck is coated with stain.
This option is recommended when the client wants to refresh the appearance of the deck without fully sanding the timber back to bare wood.

Sanding Back to Timber & Oiling
This is a deeper preparation service designed for decks that need to be prepared for oiling.
Unlike light sanding, this service requires the deck to be sanded back to timber. The old coating is removed more thoroughly so the timber can properly absorb the oil. After sanding, the deck is coated with oil. This service requires more preparation and labour than basic light sanding and staining, and therefore it is priced differently.
This option is recommended when the client wants a more natural timber appearance and a deeper protective finish.

Chemical Wash, Sanding & Coating
This service is recommended when the deck is heavily dirty, stained, weathered, affected by mould, mildew, or surface contamination.
Before sanding, the deck is washed with a special chemical cleaning agent. This helps remove dirt, mould, mildew, organic contamination and weathered residue. It can also help brighten the timber and improve the final appearance. After the chemical wash and drying period, the deck is sanded and then coated with either oil or stain, depending on the client’s preference and the recommended finish for the timber.
This option is suitable when sanding alone is not enough to properly prepare the surface.

Premium Deck Restoration
This is the most intensive deck restoration option.
This service is designed for decks that require serious surface restoration and where the client wants the deck to look as close to new as possible. Before sanding, all visible screws are driven deeper into the deck boards, or nails are punched a few millimetres below the surface. This is required so the sanding equipment does not hit the fixings. After that, heavy sanding equipment is used to remove approximately 1 mm from the surface of the timber. This process removes a deeper layer of the old surface and helps restore the timber appearance. Once the surface has been restored, the deck is coated with either oil or stain, depending on the selected finish.
This service requires heavy equipment, more preparation, more labour and a higher level of care.
Important note:
This service can significantly improve the appearance of the deck, but it does not repair rotten timber, structural defects, unstable boards, damaged joists or hidden problems in the deck base. Any structural repairs, board replacement or base repairs should be quoted separately after inspection.
